With the Stripe integration, you can accept online payments directly through Hubflo. Send one-time or recurring invoices, let clients pay securely by card, turn on auto-charge, and allow clients to manage their saved payment methods—all from your branded client portal.

To start accepting payments via Stripe:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️ (located on the menu to the bottom left) → Integrations

  2. Find the Stripe integration and click Activate

  3. You’ll be asked to either:

    • Create a new Stripe account, or

    • Log into an existing Stripe account

Let Clients Pay Invoices via Stripe

Once Stripe is connected, you can send invoices that your clients can pay online.

  1. Go to Billing Invoices to create a one-time or recurring invoice

  2. In the Payment section, make sure "Use Stripe as payment method" is toggled on (this is on by default)

When the invoice is issued, your clients:

  • Receive a link to pay the invoice securely via Stripe

  • Can access the invoice directly from their Client Portal

  • Can save a payment method for future use

Turn on Auto Charge for Clients

  • For recurring invoices, auto-charge is turned on by default

  • If the client has a saved payment method, they’ll be charged automatically

  • If they don’t, the first invoice will include a prompt for them to save one

Important: Auto-charge for one-time invoices only works if the client has already saved a payment method.

How Clients Can Update Their Payment Method

Clients can update their saved payment methods at any time:

  1. Go to the Billing section in their Client Portal

  2. Click on Payment Method

  3. They’ll be redirected to a secure Stripe-hosted page where they can update or remove their payment details

Billing Section Visibility in the Client Portal

Here’s how the Billing section appears (or stays hidden) based on your setup:

  • As a Hubflo internal user (you): You won’t see the Billing section in the client portal preview.

  • On the client’s side: The Billing section stays hidden until you’ve issued at least one invoice or proposal. By default, only the recipient of the invoice or proposal will see the Billing section.

    • If you want all contacts within the client’s company to access the Billing section, you can turn on that option in your settings. To do so, head to Settings → Client Portal → Appearance:
