Hubflo Studio works with Flows in two ways: its AI assistant builds Flow templates for you, and your automations can launch a Flow on their own.
Note: Studio requires the Hubflo Unlimited plan. New to Studio? Start with Get started with Hubflo Studio.
Build a template with Studio's AI assistant
Go to Studio > Home.
Describe the process you want to turn into a Flow. For example: "Create a flow for my real estate agency to onboard new buyer clients" or "I run a small law firm. Build me a flow for taking on new clients for a K1 visa."
Answer the questions it asks, then approve.
Studio creates the whole template: its roles, its steps and the forms they need. Open it from Flows > Templates to check it and adjust it before you start a Flow.
Tip: the more you say up front, the better the template: who takes part, which documents you need, what the team has to approve.
Launch a Flow from an automation
Add the Launch a flow step to an automation to start a Flow automatically. For example: when a client signs a smartdoc, launch your onboarding Flow for them.
The step needs the template to use and a person for each role used by a step: a contact for an external role, a team member for an internal role. The same rules apply as when you start a Flow yourself: the template can't be archived or have an empty step, and each contact needs an email address.
Once launched, the Flow works like any other. The person of step 1 gets an email right away, and the Flow shows up in the Flows tab.
Important: Test simulates the automation without launching anything. Run live launches a real Flow, and your client receives the email.
FAQ
Can an automation start when a step of a Flow is completed? Not yet. Flows can't be used as a trigger today.
Can Studio's AI assistant manage a Flow in progress? Not yet. To skip a step, reassign a role or cancel a Flow, do it from the Flow page.
Are the steps of an automation the steps of a Flow? No. An automation has its own steps (what happens after the trigger). "Launch a flow" is one of them, and it starts a Flow that has its own steps.
