# Archiving a project

Hubflo does not currently have a dedicated archive function for projects. The only way to permanently remove a project is to delete it, and deleting a project permanently removes all associated tasks and time entries. _This cannot be undone._

To keep inactive projects out of your active workflow without losing their data, use the following workaround instead:

1.  Go to **Settings**
    
2.  Click New Stage
    
3.  Name the stage something like "Archived" or "Cancelled"
    
4.  Set the status to **Archived** and client visibility to **Hidden from clients**
    
5.  Move inactive projects into that stage when the work is done
